The city’s name translated means “joyful city”
The hallmark of this town is chocolate production, this is what the people living here do in addition to tourism and fishing. Nowadays you can taste all sorts of varieties of chocolate. The Valor brand is particularly well-known. While in Villayosa, it’s impossible not to drink this wonder and eat chocolate with churros, which are sweet breads reminiscent of Polish faworki.
Colorful buildings, balconies with flowers, streets with many nooks and crannies, cafes and restaurants full of foreigners – all this Villajoyosa offers us. The city enjoys a very good Mediterranean climate.
Every year Villajoyosa hosts the festivals of , “Moors and Christians,” where there are performances, music, singing and dancing.
