Archena is also a place rich in culture and history. The Archena Museum, housed in the tourist information building, displays artifacts from the Iberian culture, including the famous Warrior Vase. Also on the itinerary are the parish church, the Casa Grande and the Villar\u00edas Palace, which houses the unique Esparto Museum, dedicated to traditional esparto grass products.<\/p>\n\n

While visiting Archena, try some local delicacies, such as gachamiga, a traditional dish made with flour, potatoes, garlic and oil. In November, the Ruta de la Tapa is held, where visitors can sample a variety of dishes at local bars.<\/p>\n\n

Archena is about 85 kilometers from Alicante airport. The city also has a train and bus station.<\/p>\n\n
